An outdoor area, where interactive technological elements are mixed with native vegetation. Worth to notice is that all the energy power used comes from renewable sources: the sun, wind, and the visitors themselves.

2008

February 2008

IdMind's 3DSunTracker® won one of the five "Highly Commended" nominations of Premier Farnell's 2007 Live EDGE Electronic Design for the Global Environment challenge. About 3500 designs from 102 countries applied to this challenge and the panel of judges has distinguished the 3DSunTracker® for its effectiveness on solar energy production, easy installation and configuration.

The 3DSunTracker® system guarantees the perfect tracking of the sun by a solar panel system, with a maximum error of +/-1 degree. This tracker has been applied to an installation with concentration reflectors which has been producing up to 60% more power and 117% more energy than traditional fixed point panel system in the same conditions.

Meanwhile IdMind has celebrated a partnership with WS-Energia Lda which will integrate the 3DSunTracker® controller into their new DoubleSun® PV solar concentrators.
